Artefact 1 – Scales and Chord Progressions
​
I have learned Scales and Chord Progressions in music theory which have been pivotal in creating my track. Without this knowledge I would have no way to express my creative ideas to fellow musicians to create the melody and backing music.

Artefact 2 – Music Scores

I learned how to read and create music scores in Music Theory. Although i didnt directly need this for my project thus far, the knowledge is invaluable for the future as this will allow me to provide session musicians with the music.
Composition

Artefact 1 – Ableton Live Session
​
In composition I learned to compose tracks on Ableton. This is so beneficial when it comes to creatinng music but more importantly has helped me understand the structure of songs an which instruments compliment each other. As well as metronome to keep time, beats per minute, key signatures etc. I have managed to create tracks using this software.

Live Performance Skills

Artefact 1 – Video of Live Rehearsals

I took videos of the rehearsals to document the process. Live Performance Skills has been monumental in building my confidence and broadening my knowlegde and skills with Live Performance, working with musicians and a live band.

Artefact 2 – Video of Recording in the Studio
​
I took videos of the recording process in the recording studio. This was to track my progress but also to use these videos as part of my marketing strategy, offering followers a behind the scenes look at the recording process.
